Because there’s nothing legal online in Georgia, offshore sites target players here aggressively. They’ll take your deposit, but they hold no Georgia license and no US consumer protection. If they withhold a withdrawal or void your winnings, you have almost no recourse, and there’s no state self-exclusion tie-in. The absence of a legal option is exactly why these sites are risky, not a reason to use them.

Sweepstakes casinos, the gold-coin and sweeps-coin sites that try to sidestep gambling law, operate in a grey zone that’s shrinking nationally as regulators move against them. Some players in Georgia use them because nothing else is available, but they aren’t a licensed real-money casino, and their legal footing is shaky. Treat them with caution.
