As Rolla is now a sweeps casino, it doesn’t require a license to operate. We have no concerns over the legitimacy of the site, as it is fully compliant with all the necessary sweepstakes laws. We weren’t surprised by this, though, as we wouldn’t expect anything less from the same company that owns WOW Vegas.

In line with the industry standard, Rolla mandates players to be at least 18 and from a legal territory. These requirements are reinforced via strict KYC checks and geofencing software.

The T&Cs regarding Sweeps Coins are standard, which is no surprise. All Sweeps Coins are worth $1 of real money, and must be wagered at least 1x to become redeemable.

We were pleased to see that Gift Card redemptions are highly accessible, as players need just 50 eligible Sweeps Coins for this method. That said, we weren’t happy to see Rolla impose a 100 Sweeps Coins minimum requirement for Cash Prizes. This might be the industry standard, but it’s still too high.

Rolla’s bonus offering is mostly excellent, starting off with a very strong welcome bonus and keeping the offers flowing to ensure registered players stick around.

Granted, there are areas for improvement, but a lot of these could be refined with some simple changes.

Welcome Bonus

Rolla’s no deposit bonus is a very generous $10 Free with No Purchases Needed. This might not be to everyone’s taste, but we really like it as it gives players the chance to play with currency from the start.

On top of this, Rolla provides all players with a generous first purchase bonus of 1.5 million Gold Coins + 30 Sweeps Coins for $9.99. This is a great deal, but we were very annoyed that it is time-limited to just 1 hour after signing up. We don’t care how generous a rewards package is, attempting to coerce players into spending money is a big no no in our eyes.

Rolla does make a package of 1.25 million Gold Coins + 25 Sweeps Coins available if you miss the time-limited offer, but it’s not enough to undo all the damage.

Ongoing Promotions

Although the welcome bonus is incredibly generous, it’s going to run out at some point. To this end, Rolla has made a raft of bonuses available to existing players, so there’s absolutely no need to spend money unless you want to.

That said, there are areas for improvement. The Daily Login bonus is the first example of this, as it is based on your VIP level, and starts at just 0.2 Sweeps Coins a day. Needless to say, this isn’t going to win the casino any points with new customers, especially as there’s no Gold Coins prize at all.

One of the main reasons why we’d like to see this increased is that the casino offers Races with both Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins up for grabs. Rewards can climb as high as 5,000 Sweeps Coins for first place, but, of course, you’ll need to spend significantly to get within the prizes.

On the brighter side, Rolla has a Rollback deal that returns a portion of your SC wagers back to you once a week. This helps soften the blow a bit, as while nobody likes losing, it’s better to get something back than nothing at all.

An incredibly generous Referral bonus of up to 100 Sweeps Coins per referral is also available. While it’s unlikely that you’ll get the full amount, you can still unlock a significant amount of premium currency this way.

The Mail-In bonus of 3 Sweeps Coins is largely standard, so there isn’t much else to say about it.

This isn’t the only way to get free Sweeps Coins with minimal fuss, though. You can also unlock free premium currency by completing daily Reel Quests or participating in the Social Media Giveaways that are held regularly.

Although spending money is completely optional, Rolla does make tempting offers through its Coin Superstore from time to time. So if you want to boost your account balance easily, we would encourage you to keep an eye on this regularly.

Finally, for players who want to put their luck to the test, Rolla offers four progressive jackpots of varying sizes, with the largest one starting at an incredible 100,000 Gold Coins.

Rolla makes a tiered VIP Program available to all its customers, with better rewards on offer the more you play. Note, however, that this applies both ways, so if you stop playing, you risk losing the benefits you’ve accumulated.

The prizes on offer are certainly generous, as they include bigger bonuses and exclusive promotions that aren’t available to players at lower tiers.

We really like the fact that all players are automatically enrolled in the VIP Program, but while we can see the logic of requiring players to maintain their status, we can’t help but feel this may put players off from even trying, as playing begins to feel more like a chore than something you do to relax.

The wagering T&Cs at Rolla are exactly as we expected, which is very welcome. All Sweeps Coins come with a standard 1x wagering requirement, and each token is worth 1 USD.

However, the high 100 Sweeps Coins requirement for a Cash Prize is too high in our eyes. We like the fact that Gift Card redemptions start at just 50 Sweeps Coins, though, as this considerably lowers the threshold for players to enjoy their winnings.

Rolla’s website has been designed with simplicity in mind, so getting around is fairly easy. This is particularly the case as the layout is similar to plenty of other sweeps casinos, so even newcomers should be able to get to grips with how the website works with minimal fuss.

The range of available filters isn’t quite what it should be, though, which is particularly obvious when you look at the games library, which is missing filters for its Scratch Cards games. Other areas of the website need filling out too, such as the Shooting games section.

Still, the positives certainly outweigh the negatives here, with the standard options of email and Live Chat available alongside the less commonly-supported channels of a public on-site chat and social media support.

The social media support team was quick to answer my questions, and despite the Live Chat being the most popular customer support channel, I got a response in well under the guide time of two hours.

Rolla has a fleshed-out Responsible Gambling page that offers help ranging from hands-off advice to more hands-on Responsible Gambling tools.

The tools here start with common sense guidance on safe gambling. This may seem obvious, but it’s all too easy to forget the basics quicker than you may think.

After this, Rolla makes deposit limits available to players to keep their spending in check, covering daily, weekly, and monthly time spans. This range of limits is good enough in its own right, but Rolla takes it one step further. Once you’ve set the initial limits, you have to wait 72 hours before the increases you have requested become available, making it more likely that players will be able to ride out impulse spending in the heat of the moment.

Finally, players can take temporary breaks and permanently self-exclude, but we were annoyed to find out that you have to email the support team to access these features. Players at Rolla are adults, and as such should be trusted to make their own decisions.

Rolla may have had high expectations placed upon it from the start, but it largely manages to live up to those, with a large number of entertaining games, and an incredibly generous welcome bonus that is among the most generous we’ve ever seen.

Granted, there are issues that need fixing, such as tidying up the library, expanding the available games categories, and improving its reputation, but the casino definitely gets more right than it does wrong.
