ITV to Launch Online Gambling

ITV is to provide Slots and Bingo games to online casino enthusiasts from January 2026.

The launch of online casino gambling will be dealt with by Richmond Atlantic, which is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. This includes the costs of setting up the website, such as staff salaries and product development.

Elsewhere, the technology will be provided by Gaming Innovation Group (GiG), and all Bingo games will be supplied by the leading iGaming developer Pragmatic Play.

This is not the first time that Richmond Atlantic has ventured into the online gambling sector, having previously ventured into online sports betting with Betzone in the UK. However, as Betzone has stopped trading, it makes sense for the company to direct its ambition elsewhere.

At present, ITV Win offers free-to-play games based on the channel’s most popular shows, such as The Chase, Deal or No Deal, and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?.

However, that’s not to say that real money gambling isn’t currently available. Already, ITV Win advertises bonus draws for £2.50 that give players the chance to win cash prizes, holidays, and cars, so there is clearly a market for online gambling among the website’s users.

Of the two types of casino games, online Slots are expected to provide the most revenue, which makes sense given their popularity.

Impact of the UK Autumn Budget

However, Richmond Atlantic has had to adjust its original financial projections in the wake of the UK’s Autumn Budget, with a sharp rise in tax on online gambling revenue to take effect from April 2026.

While the company intends to retain as much profit from the original business plan as possible, it is likely that this will come at the cost of mitigation measures brought in as a result of the Budget, such as lowering the RTP (Return To Player) rate on Slots.
