Measured deltas: Spina Zonke games load roughly 1.2 seconds slower on the iOS PWA than on the native Android APK, push notifications fire only when Safari is open in the background, and biometric Face ID login is not supported (you re-enter password each session). The PWA does not support data-free mode (FreeMode requires the dedicated 9.2 MB Android data-free APK), and push notifications are limited compared to the Android app. For betting and Spina Zonke, the experience is otherwise comparable.

Hollywoodbets runs a 9.2 MB Android-only APK that lets you log in, place bets, top up via voucher, and check results without consuming any mobile data on partner networks via the biNu Datafree platform. The partner list as of May 2026: Vodacom, MTN, Telkom, and Cell C. Rain is not currently a FreeMode partner.

Mechanism: the data-free APK routes traffic through Hollywoodbets-owned URLs that the carriers zero-rate. The carriers don’t see the content; they see the URL pattern and exclude the bytes from your data allowance. Spina Zonke on Data-Free: What I Actually Saw
