There is only one bonus feature in the Wild Warriors slot. This is triggered by the shield scatter symbol. This symbol can only appear on the middle 3 reels, and you need plenty of them to spin in to trigger the feature. If 7, 8 or 9 of them appear on the same spin you will not only trigger the feature but also receive a lucrative win worth double your total stake. You receive 8, 12 or 25 free spins, depending on how many scatter symbols appeared on the reels. For 7 scatters you get 8 spins, for 8 you get 12 and for 9 you receive a generous 25 extra spins.
During the free spins, the warrior symbols can appear stacked as 2x2 or even 3x3 symbols. This covers more spaces on the reels and opens up more chances of winning for you. This is the bonus feature’s main selling point, and it certainly adds something extra to what is, at heart, quite a basic and simple game.
We Were Left Wanting More from the Wild Warriors Free Spins Feature
We have to say, though, that this feature is a little thin. While the amount of free spins it offers is certainly generous, we would have liked a little more variation in what can actually happen. There is little to really hook you into the action when the feature is triggered and it can feel like the player is just a passive spectator. Other slots, such as ELK Studios’ Wild Toro, have a little bit more action during their bonus features.
But we have to concede that you can pick up very big wins from this feature if luck is with you. The screen also fills with fast-moving images and it can feel quite exciting. But the end comes quickly and it left us feeling a little bit disappointed. The Wild Warriors promised so much, but in the end, they let us down a little bit.
