We walk into every review with a healthy level of both anticipation and scepticism, and this Casumo Casino review was no different. By the end of it, we were utterly enchanted by Casumo, and can honestly recommend that any casino player reading this try Casumo for themselves. From their games library to their mobile casino offering, to their innovative way of guiding players through the Casumo experience, there's a lot to love here.

If there's one thing we love more than a great welcome bonus, it's a no deposit bonus, and Casumo have showed up with one in each hand for most regions. Casumo care more than just about getting you in the door, they want to keep their players happy and satisfied, and one way they do that is with constant bonuses and promo offers for their players.  You won't be able to see their promotions section until you sign up (the site is oddly tight-lipped to outsiders if we're being honest). Still, once you do register you'll see that there are plenty of regular offers, many of them changing each week, to keep players entertained and to make sure they get some decent bang out of their buck. 

Of course, we won't get too specific here as they update their bonuses regularly, but we've seen things like slot races, live casino promotions, free spins offers, and more. There don't seem to be quite as many table games promotions as there are for slots, jackpots, and live casino, but we're really splitting hairs at this point.

With different regions having different bonuses, and the bonuses changing all the time, we recommend regularly looking at the promotions tab and checking to see if any of their bonuses are right for you. As always, though, make sure to read the terms and conditions before activating a bonus.

Casumo is a lot more legit than they seem at face value. Prospective players have access to very little information about the casino before registering, which some might see as a red flag, but this is just an odd site design choice more than it is a cause for concern. During our Casumo casino review testing, we didn't see anything at all that might suggest Casumo are anything other than trustworthy. In fact, we found quite a few reasons to trust them.

First of all, is their FAQ section. We'll get into more detail about this in the customer service section below. Still, their FAQ section is exceptionally transparent and covers all the different kinds of questions that new users are likely to have. They pretty much lay all their cards on the table, and we really appreciate that transparency, especially considering how little information was available to us before registering and gaining access to the FAQs.

The most compelling pieces of evidence that show how trustworthy Casumo is are two licences it holds from the UK Gambling Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority. These are two of the most highly sought-after licences in the iGaming industry and are known for their strict rules and regulations.

The fact that Casumo holds a UKGC licence (Reference No. 39265) and an MGA licence shows players that the casino has had to prove that it is safe and fair to several external authorities, which certainly puts our minds at rest. 

An Award-Winning Online Casino

It isn't just licensing jurisdictions that have given Casumo their seal of approval, Casumo also hold a number of EGR awards. Again, we were unable to find out anything about their available banking methods until after we had registered an account at Casumo. Once we registered and confirmed our email address, however, the information was easy to come by.

You'll find the usual suspects like debit cards and bank transfer, the golden oldie Paysafecard, and even a few e-wallets. You'll find online casino favourites like Skrill and Neteller, even EcoPayz, depending on your country of residence, and iDebit, if you happen to be in Canada. The selection is pretty decent, and we can't imagine any new players signing up and not being able to deposit without having to sign up for a new way to pay for things. We'd like to see PayPal added to the list for UK players, but with so many other options available, we can live without it.

Casumo don't impose any deposit limits, and there are no fees to pay when depositing or withdrawing funds, and the withdrawals are generally pretty quick.

One thing to note is that all withdrawals need to go through approval at Casumo before being processed. While we've seen other casinos take up to three days to process withdrawal requests, Casumo guarantee that all withdrawal requests are processed within 24 hours. In reality, we found that a wait time of between 1 and 3 hours was more realistic, and we certainly can't complain about that. As a general rule, e-wallet payments are usually instant, while bank account transfers take up to a few days due to the system that they run on. The thing that really made us fall in love with Casumo's Casino experience was the way they managed to gamify casino gaming further. From the moment you complete registering your account you're met with a cryptic yet intriguing message: "Start Your Adventure".

Table Games

There's a decent selection in the table games section, though of course nothing like we have for slots. There's plenty of blackjack and roulette titles, though, with lots of different types of these games represented, like European Roulette and French Roulette. They also have several video poker games, and even baccarat and punto banco titles. Fans of table games certainly won't be disappointed.

Let's get real: no one wants to be chained to a laptop or desktop just to play a couple of spins of NetEnt's Starburst after work. We want to be able to enjoy a decent casino experience whether we're at the pub, on the loo, or in an airport waiting to board a flight, and if an online casino can't do that for us, they likely aren't for us. So much attention was put into the user interface and making navigation as fluid and intuitive as possible.

The iOS app is available in the app store, though the Android app, due to some Google Play Store regulations, needs to be downloaded and installed manually from Casumo's site. Either way, that teal logo is more than a welcome addition to our home screens.

Casumo User Interface - Pretty But Needs Filters

Casumo are relatively well-known for their bright, colourful, and engaging UI, and for good reason. Opening up Casumo's games library is a visual treat, and the light grey background combined with Casumo's signature deep eggplant, and teal accents really lends itself to a sleek and modern look.

The problem with a sleek and modern look is that it doesn't always translate to the most efficient or functional user experience. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that it's unusable or that Casumo's UI is a total mess or anything, but it could certainly be better. As we noted above, Casumo partner with tons of different software providers, but there's no way to filter games by provider.

The only filters to be found are:

This doesn't help very much when trying to navigate a library of over a thousand games. Like we said, we love the look, we love the colour-scheme, we even love the style of the icons, but we need some filters to help us find our favourite games and discover new games.

Once again, this information took all of our investigative skills (i.e. harassing customer care) to uncover. The Casumo VIP programme is a closely guarded secret that isn't even mentioned in their FAQs, and even the existence of the programme is kept top secret.

So of course, we had no choice but to ask a bunch of customer service agents about this on their live chat. We got confirmation that there is indeed a VIP programme,  that it's invite-only and at least partially dependent on your player level. When we pressed for further details, none of the customer service agents were able (or allowed) to tell us about the kind of benefits that VIP membership grants players. 

What we can assume is that VIP players might get access to exclusive promotions, bonuses, free spins, and possibly even deposit bonuses. These are the kinds of benefits that VIP players generally get in other casinos, and add value to VIP players' experience. Still, of course, none of this has actually been confirmed by Casumo.

As has become all too common in 2023, the only ways to get in touch with Casumo Customer Service is via email or live chat. While we'd like to see phone support listed, the online casino industry as a whole is just moving away from that.

As part of our Casumo Casino review testing, we made sure to contact the customer service agents multiple times to get a clear idea of what the average experience looks like. On the whole, we found that waiting time to be connected to a customer service agent via live chat was quick. We never waited longer than 90 seconds.

However, we found ourselves waiting quite a while throughout the chats. We'd pose questions and then sometimes wait 2 or even 3 minutes for the customer service agent to type a reply. As Casumo's live chat feature notifies you when the other party is typing, we were able to see that it took them quite a while to begin writing a response. If this only happened when we asked more difficult questions (like our questions about the VIP programme), then we'd chalk it down to the agents needing to consult a team leader or manager, but this delay happened every single time. This leads us to believe that the customer service agents probably have to juggle multiple chats at once, which would be fine if it didn't lead to those extremely long delays between asking questions and receiving a response.

As far as their email support goes, we experienced relatively normal response times, with 24-36 hours being the usual amount of waiting time. The responses were clear, detailed, and the customer service agents clearly tried their best to make sure our questions were answered.

We liked that they had a great FAQ section available. It covered enough questions that people with simple or basic requests likely won't need to talk to customer service, and the answers were all short, clear, and concise. Their FAQs aren't searchable, though, which we feel like is a missed opportunity.

Casumo is one of those casinos that's available all over the English-speaking world, but they really do like to take care of their UK-based users. 

Like we said towards the beginning of this review, Casumo launched a sportsbook product in late 2019 and launched it exclusively in the UK. The fact that they accept GBP without charging players any currency conversion fees, and that they're UKGC licensed says a lot about Casumo's commitment to all of us here in the UK.

Writing this Casumo Casino review has been a wild ride and one that we enjoyed tremendously. From the bonuses to the gamification and player level system, to the shockingly vast casino games library, there's certainly a lot to love when it comes to Casumo. Their mobile casino experience alone is breathtaking,  and we think every online casino player out there should give them a try, even if their customer service could get a little faster.
